Try again next week

You know that odd feeling of showing up somewhere and what you came to see is not happening? Maybe you showed up to play poker with the guys on Friday night, when the game was Saturday. Maybe you misread the time of a party or flight and missed it by 12 hours. Maybe you showed up to play softball and the lights were off and the parking lot was empty. That’s what happened to the Beavers this past week.

There was rain in the area on Tuesday morning, but this was Wed night. The day was sunny, and there was enough of a breeze that you would think that anything that was wet would now be dry. That was the collective thinking of 12 Beavers who one by one pulled into the Fenton City Park to find no game, but other Beavers hanging out in the parking lot wondering how the field could not be playable.

Who would have thought to call the rain-out line when there was no rain? So the season continues. Make up games are scheduled for 9/30 at 8:30 and 9:30.
